MINIMUM BILLBOARD SITE REQUIREMENTS
To qualify a site for a billboard location, the following minimum conditions must exist:
WEST VIRGINIA (outside city limits)
Not within 500 feet of an existing billboard
Not within 500 feet of a park, public recreation area, school, church, cemetery or playground
Must be within 1000 feet of an existing business (been in business 1+ years)
WEST VIRGINIA (within city limits)
Not within 1000 feet of an existing billboard
Not within 400 feet of a residentially zoned area
Not within 500 feet of a park, public recreation area, school, church, cemetery or playground
Minimum 25 feet set back from front lot line
Must be within 1000 feet of an existing business (been in business 1+ years)
Minimum height 8 feet to bottom / Maximum height 40 feet to top
OHIO (outside city limits)
Not within 500 feet of an existing billboard
Not within 500 feet of Highway interchanges
Not within 500 feet of a park, public recreation area, school, church, cemetery or playground
Must be within 850 feet of an existing business (been in business 1+ years) on same side of road
OHIO (within city limits)
Varies extensively with each municipality
